Women and HIV

Women make up the majority of new cases of HIV – and HIV/AIDS is the leading killer of black women between the ages of 18 and 35. This epidemic is a matter of life and death.

Protect Yourself

Women are too often coerced, bribed or convinced that their health and safety does not come first. You are worth it! Protect yourself, and insist on using either a male or female condom. Discuss fidelity – if he’s sleeping around, he’s putting you at risk. And if he’s abusive – emotionally, trying to convince you that you’re not worth it - or physically, hurting you or the people you care about – get out. There is help.
